SCHEDULE
Provisions of the Code applied Extent of application and Modification
Section 2 To the extent the definitions contained therein apply for the interpretation of the provisions extended by this notification and those contained in Chaps. VIII, X and XI of the Code.
Section 3 After sub-section (4), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:
"(5) Notwithstanding anything contained in the foregoing provisions of this section—
(i) any reference in such of the provisions of this Code, as applied to the Union Territories of Arunachal and Mizoram, to the Courts mentioned in Col. (1) of the Table below shall, until the Court of Session and Courts of Judicial Magistrates are constituted in the said Union territories be construed as references to the Court of Magistrate mentioned in the corresponding entry in Col. (2) of that Table.

(ii) the functions mentioned in Clause (a) of sub-section (4) shall be exercisable by an Executive Magistrate".

Chapter V So much of this Chapter as applies to the arrest of any person belonging to one or more categories of persons specified in Section 90 or 110.
Section 373
Vide Notification Jud. No. 25/74, dated 2nd April, 1974, the Chief Commissioners and the Additional Deputy Commissioners, in the Union territory of Arunachal Pradesh, were appointed to be Executive Magistrates.
